Bio

Scott Horton, PE,  has spent the majority of his career working in industrial settings coordinating structural engineering with plant operations. Foundation design, concrete design, and steel design have become his strength. He is familiar with all aspects and types of foundation design and performed designs using that knowledge to provide a stable support for equipment, and structures alike.

Horton received an award from the City of Hanahan for his work with Water Missions International, a non-profit group supplying drinking water systems. Scott designed the foundations for their water tower in Haiti. After the earthquake, the tower remained standing as designed while all neighboring structures fell. The tower and safe drinking water it produced helped with the relief efforts there. Horton also serves on the city’s design review board.
