Bio

Clay Wine, AIA, Director of Architecture at Berenyi Incorporated, has led many successful design teams in South Carolina for a wide variety of projects. He has served as President of AIA Charleston, a section of The American Institute of Architects, and as Commissioner on the North Charleston Planning Commission for many years.

After completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture from Clemson University in 1981, Wine began his internship with Freeman Wells & Major architects, helping design the Clemson Memorial Stadium North Stands. As a project architect with Wilkins Wood & Associates, Architects, he helped design the Clemson Computer Center in the Clemson Research Park. In 1987, Wine was invited to Charleston to help create the lowcountry’s first all computer-aided design architectural firm at Tynes Associates. 

During the past twelve years at Berenyi Incorporated, Wine has directed the design teams on numerous industrial and commercial building designs for clients including Boeing, Daimler, and Force Protection.
