East Cooper & Berkeley Railroad Rating

The East Cooper & Berkeley Railroad is owned by South Carolina Public Rail and consists of 17 miles of track running from BP Amoco and Nucor Steel in Huger, SC to a conection with CSX Rail near Cordesville, SC. Berenyi Inc. was tasked with inspecting and rating all structures on the EC&B line to comply with 49 CFR 237. These structures consiseted of three pre-stressed concrete box-beam bridges running over Huger, Quinby, and Gough Creeks and thirty-five culverts, five of which were reinforced concrete box culverts.
